The 2013 event was held in honor of Julianne Siller - it was truly an emotional day for everyone who attended as we all celebrated her life. There was an incredible outpouring of love and support from all of Julianne’s friends and the community who came together that day in remembrance of a life taken too soon and to say ‘No’ to Domestic Violence.
More than 450 participants attended the Women’s Center of Montgomery County annual 5K Run / 3K Walk, raising over $30,000 for their domestic violence services.
Julianne’s good friend, Kara Szymanski, was awarded with the honor of raising the highest amount of donations. In addition, Kara sold T-shirts she designed for the event, generously donating the proceeds to Julianne’s Scholarship Fund. Way to go Kara! Your efforts are greatly appreciated!!
The Women’s Center of Montgomery County also dedicated a paver in tribute to Julianne at Montgomery County Community College at the Fine Arts Center at the end of 2013.
